The Experience
Discover London’s royal history during a guided tour of the capital’s most famous landmarks.
Your experience begins aboard a luxury coach for a panoramic tour through central London. A professional guide will introduce the important sights along the route. You will also hear stories about the people and events that shaped the city.
The first major stop is St Paul’s Cathedral. Designed by Sir Christopher Wren, this remarkable building has stood at the heart of London for more than 300 years. Step beneath its famous dome and admire the detailed interior. You can also visit the historic crypt, where figures including Admiral Lord Nelson are buried. Sunday visits allow you to experience the cathedral during its regular schedule of church services.
The tour then continues to Buckingham Palace for the Changing of the Guard. Watch the King’s Foot Guard march towards the palace in their distinctive red tunics and bearskin hats. A military band accompanies the guards during this celebrated royal ceremony. On scheduled alternative dates, the tour visits Horse Guards Parade.
Your final visit takes you inside Buckingham Palace. Explore the 19 State Rooms used by the Royal Family for official occasions. These impressive rooms contain treasures from the Royal Collection. Look out for paintings by Rembrandt and Rubens as you make your way through the palace. You will also see fine furniture from England and France.
This Classic tour includes standard coach seating and guidance throughout the sightseeing journey. The complete experience lasts approximately four to five hours.
